The Job holder will be reporting to the Country Head of Treasury. The main areas of responsibility will be:

  • To manage the assets and liabilities of the bank to generate income and ensure the bank is appropriately funded on a day-to-day basis.
  • Development and execution of an effective strategy for Money Markets trading and ALM aligned to group strategy
  • Manage liabilities and generate income by managing relationships with banks, other financial institutions and Central Bank
  • Engage Central Bank regularly on day-to-day funding (where applicable)
  • Build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment
  • Engage with Coverage to influence their sales activities
  • Continually identify market trends and opportunities for Global Markets and Treasury
  • Analyse information and provide feedback to different divisions that could be impacted by the information
  • Generate / review formal and ad hoc reports as required
  • Risk and compliance management
  • Team leadership, management and mentoring
  • Plan and manage own workflow, anticipating obstacles, juggling priorities and following through on objectives within agreed time-frames and according to quality standards
  • Relevant business degree Economics, Finance and/or Mathematics.
  • Minimum 5-7+ years' banking experience, with substantial exposure to MM, FI and other relevant products, ideally in a senior management position.



The Job holder will be reporting to the Country Head of Corporate & Investment Banking. The main areas of responsibility will be:

  • To establish, develop and maintain a portfolio of clients in order to identify opportunities to cross and up-sell the bank's products and services to deliver profitable, sustainable revenue growth in line with strategy and policies.
  • Building on his or her extensive knowledge of client needs, work closely with relevant stakeholders to develop a growth strategy for the in-country bank aligned to country objectives
  • Develop portfolio strategies and set targets for the  in line with CIB vision
  • Generate proposals to increase the value of the Corporate and Treasury portfolio through the identification of new products, potential alliances and the leveraging of group product and service capabilities
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of existing and targeted government entities to maximize client revenues within acceptable risk parameters
  • Achieve set asset, liability, revenue, cost, and provision as well as impairment targets as defined in the budget
  • Achieve utilization and income levels in line with budget
  • Identify business requirements in respect of product and solution requirements needed to satisfy customer needs and requirements
  • Market the full complement of products and services offered by the bank in co-operation with product partners
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers to gain a comprehensive understanding of clients' needs and strategic goals
  • Maintain portfolio credit quality through regular credit reviews, monitoring of risk concentrations and early identification of potential problems
  • Take accountability for client credit risk through developing an understanding of each customer's business risks and ensuring credit limits are adhered to
  • Monitor account performance and facility utilization and produce weekly and monthly reports on excesses and arrears on customer accounts
  • Adhere to all internal requirements, e.g. ensuring KYC documents are in place
  • Supervise Credit Analysts to ensure turnaround times on credit analysis are met
  • Relevant business degree (e.g. Finance, Commerce or Economics); Master's degree (e.g. MBA) highly advantageous
  • Minimum 10+ years' experience in corporate banking (encompassing 5 years in corporate sales and 3 years in a leadership role as a preference).



The Job holder will be reporting to the Country Head of Retail & Business Banking and the Managing Director. The main areas of responsibility will be:

  • To design, propose and implement marketing and business strategies for the Microfinance division in order to optimize customer satisfaction and achieve set budget.
  • To ensure that the administration of client service is carried out properly so that the payment and repayment of loans, and the management of arrears are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Developing strategic plans, implementing them and managing profitability in line with the business plan of the division.
  • Management of Market, Credit and Operational risk.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of microfinance policies and regulations.
  • Build up, maintain and improve efficient service level related operations and processing to quality objectives.
  • Determine and ensure adherence to policy, service levels, controls and checks.
  • Prepare and agree, manage and be responsible for all components of the budget of the division.
  • Analyze and interpret MIS reports and take action as appropriate.
  • Ensure good quality of lending, as measured by losses and provisions for bad debts and fraud.
  • Implement and monitor standard sales processes and queue management systems.
  • Ensure correct levels of collections to minimize lose.
  • Achieve sales levels in line with budget
  • Achieve the required returns on capital employed
  • Maintain and grow customer relationships and identify opportunities in those relationships for ABC and the wider Group and to work on those opportunities to their successful conclusion
  • Relevant business degree (e.g. Finance, Economics, International Business, Marketing or equivalent); Masters degree (e.g. MBA) highly advantageous
  • Minimum 5-7+ years of experience in microfinance management, ideally in a senior management position.
  • Excellent knowledge of banking products and sales processes, particularly micro-lending systems and activities across multiple channels as well as good understanding of risk management and procedures.



The Job holder will be reporting to the Country Head of Retail & Business Banking. The main areas of responsibility will be:

  • To provide leadership and direction to in-country Retail and Business Banking teams to initiate, co-ordinate and drive sales and product development and promotions through sound analysis of customer and product profitability and analysis of competitor activity and market opportunities. .
  • Mine existing customers and identify new customers, segments and market opportunities, as well as customer needs and desired behaviours in order to understand how the bank's products align with these needs
  • Understand the value drivers of each product and service and identify profitable commercial opportunities to grow revenue and market share
  • Understand customer segments and products' value propositions to attract each of those segments
  • Implement policies and procedures in-country and continually review and update these in line with changing business issues and priorities, market movements, client behaviour, regulatory changes, industry trends and market best practice; motivate changes with the Head of Retail & BB for approval
  • Work with relevant departments across the in-country bank to develop innovative products to support the value proposition aligned to market segments
  • Determine appropriate product pricing for specific segments and channels
  • Work with Marketing and other relevant business units to package and position products appropriately
  • Test product positioning with target customers and use their feedback to adjust pricing, packaging and positioning where necessary
  • Develop / implement country sales campaigns and product promotions and work with Marketing and other relevant business units to implement these
  • Review performance of sales campaigns and product promotions and take remedial action where necessary
  • Relevant business degree (e.g. Bachelor of Business Administration with a Marketing major)
  • 5+ years' banking experience with significant exposure to retail products



The Job holder will be reporting to the Branch Manager with dotted lines to the Country Head of Retail & Business Banking. The main areas of responsibility will be:

  • Develop, implement and manage long term beneficial mutual relationships with personal and SME customers. Ensure that all short and long term commercial and economical objectives for the Branch personal and SME are achieved through an increased number of customers and volume of personal and SME related products.
  • Generate revenue streams through the cross-sell of banking services to the bank's personal and SME customer base.
  • Manage and develop a portfolio of the bank's personal and SME customers including revenue accountability.
  • Source new target market clients that support the attainment of business objectives and targets.
  • Provide a first class level of service to ensure that clients are satisfied and continue to do business with BancABC. Additionally generate target market referrals as a result.
  • Management and coordination of the acquisition and retention process of customers through ensuring good levels of customer service at all times.
  • Overall, achieve and maintain a high level of Customer Service at all times.
  • Portfolio profitability in line with sales targets.
  • Achieve the required cross-selling ratio.
  • Management of Service Level Agreements.
  • Management of leads from non-sales staff and other internal or external contacts.
  • Delivery of the financial plan and achievement of business objectives and targets.
  • Management of a portfolio of personal and SME customers including revenue generation and accountability.
  • Champion the BancABC customer experience ensuring the delivery of quality advice, recommendations and solutions to customers.

  • Continually identify opportunities for improvements intended to grow the reputation of BancABC's personal and SMEs service and proposition.
  • Adopt "hands on" approach to client contact and follow up.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the markets, banking products and services in order to match our offering with client needs.
  • Take ownership for, and delivery of individual sales and revenue targets.
  • Act in accordance with all regulatory, compliance and KYC policies (both internal and external) and communicate to clients as appropriate.
  • Build productive relationships with referral sources, within the branch network, instilling a sense of teamwork and pro-activity with client referral.

  • Contribute effectively to team activities including the generation of new sales ideas and initiatives.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, International Business, Marketing or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Relationship Management or similar role preferably in a personal and SME market segment or Corporate Banking.
  • Broad based knowledge of financial products and services, financial markets and economic environments.
  • Excellent understanding of financial statements and credit risk analysis.
  • Knowledge of respective operational and regulatory environment.
  • Ability to research and aggressively source new business through own initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to network and build own portfolio of contacts to maximize referral network.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong relationships building and networking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and strong adherence to deadlines and targets.
  • Good problem solving skills, expressing the ability to question, listen and understand the customer and business environment.
